Hospital Sisters Health System announces plans to end services at ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ University Health Clinic

The clinic located at 150 S. Fairview closes effective December 27, 2024.

DECATUR, Ill. – , which provides medical management services for the , at 150 S. Fairview in Decatur, has announced that it is ending its agreement with ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ University and will close the open-to-the-public walk-in clinic, effective December 27, 2024.β€― 

β€œAs part of Hospital Sisters Health System’s ongoing commitment to its healthcare mission, we continuously evaluate how we deliver care to our community. In support of these ongoing assessments, HSHS Medical Group has determined it is necessary to end its agreement with ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ University to provide medical management services for the walk-in clinic located on ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ University’s campus, effective December 27, 2024,” said Vice President of Operations HSHS Physician Enterprise Mandi Vehlow. β€œIt has been our honor to provide medical management services for the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Clinic for the past two years, and HSHS remains committed to continuing to serve the Decatur community through our many other healthcare services and locations.” 

HSHS is working closely with ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ University leadership to formulate the next steps for the clinic and the staff. Students and the general public who have utilized the services at the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Clinic will be notified by HSHS of this decision and kept informed of all future plans as they are confirmed. 

At this time, there is not a transition agreement in place, but ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ is hopeful there can be one soon. University leadership is currently exploring other provider options to determine if a transition can occur with no disruption.

We are working diligently to avoid an interruption of services at the Clinic, and we will share an update when we have more information,” ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ President Dr. Jim Reynolds said. β€œIt’s important to note that , including our Student Mental and Behavioral Health (SMBH) Office, will continue to operate and support ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ’s students, staff and faculty.”

The clinic provides services for flu and colds, physicals, women's health, minor injuries, COVID testing, and vaccination clinics. The clinic will remain open 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday–Friday, through December 27.
