ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ welcomes first-year and transfer students for summer orientation

More than 300 brand new ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ students accompanied by family and friends, joined the Division of Student Affairs and Office of Admission staff over four days of Big Blue Orientation, filled with informational sessions outlining financial aid, campus resources and more. Those students planning to attend ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ University beginning fall 2022 got a jumpstart to their ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ experience June 13-16.

Director of Admission Molly Berry said, β€œOrientation is such a celebratory time on campus because it is the chance to get a glance at the fall incoming class and dream about all of the amazing ways they will positively impact campus life. Especially in admission, it is fulfilling to see the students and families we have worked with for the better part of a year arrive on campus with all of that nervous and excited energy!”

This year, ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ welcomed incoming transfer students as a part of Big Blue Orientation Days for the first time. In effort to make sure transfer students receive the same welcome as incoming first-year students on campus, ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ has adjusted the new student programming in recent years.

β€œThe Class of 2026, new transfer students, and their families will be amazing additions to our already vibrant and diverse campus. Summer Orientation is one of our favorite times at ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ. We have the opportunity to β€œroll out the blue carpet” for our new students and families,” said Dean of Student Affairs Raphaella Prange.

β€œThe goal of this program is to demonstrate the immersive and transformational experience of a ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ University education. We hope that our students and families came away with renewed excitement and confidence in their ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ choice! We can’t wait to see everyone back on campus in August.”

Big Blue Orientation Days serve as a reminder of the opportunities and warm environment awaiting students when they comes to ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ.

Paul Lidy, dean of ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ said, β€œIt is always a welcoming feeling to have the newest members of ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ come to in person orientation each year. Meeting the new students with their families and seeing how excited everyone is to be on campus is a feeling unlike any other. It is a great reminder why ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ is a special place and sets a firm foundation for the years to come. Go Big Blue!”
