Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Complete the FAFSA in order to be considered for student financial aid from Federal, State, and University programs that include financial need as a criteria. Also, a FAFSA must be on file with Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ if you wish to obtain a student loan. Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ’s School Code is 001724. In order to sign the FAFSA electronically, you will need to have a FSA ID. FAFSA Submission Summary
After completing the FAFSA, you will receive a report of the information you submitted (formerly called the Student Aid Report or SAR). Review this information thoroughly and make any corrections necessary. Accurate information is very important to ensure a correct financial aid package.
Federal Verification Process
We are pleased to announce we have established a partnership with to expedite the federal verification process for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ University. Verification Gateway (VG) from Inceptia is an online portal to guide students and parents through verification.
If your FAFSA application is selected for verification by the U.S Department of Education, you will receive an email from VGCS@inceptia.org, or postcard from Inceptia, containing Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ University’s unique website link to start the verification process.
We encourage you to begin the verification process within 7 days of receiving notification from Verification Gateway to ensure you receive your financial aid in time for payments. Failure to complete the verification process could result in the delay or denial of your financial aid.

Applying for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ University Scholarships
An application for admission and a FAFSA are the only two forms necessary to be considered for any merit or need-based student financial aid programs at Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ. Once you have been admitted to Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ, you can apply for additional scholarships. Scholarships are often based on academic achievement or talent. Deadlines and requirements vary. Learn more at .
Accept and Sign Loans
If you plan to accept your loans, please visit the myMILLIKIN portal to accept your loans online. Remember to complete the Master Promissory Note and Loan Entrance Counseling on the loan program page.

Enrollment
To be eligible for all Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ financial assistance, a student must maintain an enrollment of 12 credit hours (full-time status) per semester. Pell Grant recipients should also maintain an enrollment of 12 credit hours per term to receive the full award amount. Illinois residents who are eligible for the State of Illinois Monetary Award Program (MAP) Grant, must maintain 15 credit hours per term in order to receive the full award amount. Enrollments less than 15 hours will be pro-rated according to actual registration. For Federal Loan Eligibility, student loans and parent loans require students to be enrolled at least half time (6 credit hours per semester).
Renewability
Financial aid based on merit or talent will be renewed for a maximum of eight semesters, provided students continue to meet the requirements of the specific program. Specialized scholarship programs may have more stringent requirements than University standards. In those instances, the program supersedes. Please work with the administrator of the scholarship program.
Work Study Jobs
Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ employs hundreds of student employees each academic year. Many students are offered the opportunity to work under the Federal Work-Study program, via their financial aid award notification.
