Assistant Professor

Dr. Janet A. Kirby is Assistant Professor of Organization Leadership. Her role as Assistant Professor of Organizational Leadership (OL) includes advising OL students, driving program development and teaching. She has teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels including Human Resource Management, Staffing and Compensation, Organizational Behavior, Team Building, Strategic Management, Leadership Ethics, Introduction to Management, Organization Development, and American Government. Her course development experience spans several platforms including, Blackboard, Desire to learn, and Moodle.

Dr. Kirby consults for organizations on the issues of organizational strategy, change management, team-based management, and community engagement. Clients have included churches, city government, not-for-profits, and education based groups. Dr. Kirby has extensive leadership experience in the public sector and higher education.

She has a Ph.D. in Organization Development and her Master of Science in Management and Organizational Behavior from Benedictine University and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa majoring in Public Administration and Political Science.
